Have you intentionally destroyed anything lately?

There is a mindset that breaking things is bad. Probably coming from past, when creating products were hard and tedious.
Now with mass production and excessive stock, many things become very cheap.

Teaching programming without coding/computers

There are many ways to teach people programming. With right abstraction, it is easy to explain most concepts. E.g. today we experimented with sorting things.

We took coins of different values and made kind of cells where they could be put in random order. Then added the same amount of cells below. With double empty space it was really easy to sort. Keeping only one free cell makes it more challenging:

aka guide for playing games in different ways

	* Select open source game on github that kids may want to play and you understand code.

Here is short list of cool projects that could promote robotics to kids and adults.

Arduino board game with sensors, buttons and motors

Real sensors, motors, buttons, wires. Users need to put and remove wires during game, and to other actions. E.g. swiping specific color card in front of sensor, or pressing button for exact number of seconds.

2018-07-12 workshop retro

We organized our first workshop in Helsinki 2018-07-09 where parents and kids explore motors and create robots together.

What went good

	* Many experiments with motors.
	* Everyone was eager to try how parts are work, and modify.

Experiment

Could we make a robot that moves in straight line, when wheels rotate with different speed.

What we had

We had a small robot made with few motors, L293D and nodemcu.

What we made

Added few gears, so wheels rotate with different speed. As a result one of the wheels even rotates in the different direction.

Box. 20cm. With door on one side. On another: 3 leds, 2 buttons, 2 variable resistors, temperature sensor.

Goal

Open door through interacting with controls. There could be small reward in box. There are 3 tasks, each task have one or more inputs, and led. If player acted towards task (e.g. pressed correct button), corresponding led will blink. If player fulfill task, lets stays on. Next task could be completed, only if previous tasks are completed.
